## questions w answers
## what's blkwashing.
"Blackwashing" is incorrect, made up term by yt (white) people (most likely). It's suppose to mean the same thing as ytwashing, changing a character(s) race to yt expect the person is black not yt. It mostly used when an POC, mostly black, artist(s) makes an anime character's skin a darker shade then what they are canonly. Example below. White people made up this term because, honestly, they were upset they couldn't change a person race to white and that POCs could HC characters to (insert race).

## blkwashing = ytwashing
No, absolutely not. Whitewashing is rooted in years of rasicism, colorism, and opression. Whitewashing was used againsted POCs, black people for this topic, for years to demean, make harmful stereotypes, erase our culture, and give POCs unequal opportunities as yt people. As for Black People, whitewashing leads back all the way to slavery/jim crow times, yt people forced Black People to forget their culture and convert them over to what yt people thought was "normal", whitewashing them. In media, yt people constantly get casted for roles that are made for Black or POC people, whitewashing those characters. What yt people call "blackwashing" is not even near the same because yt people did not go through these years of opression, erasure, and stereotypes. While making POCs characters yt is rasict because of history behind it, making characters POCs is just for fun and has no bad history nor context behind it.
## asian erasure?
I do not believe this is Asian erasure. When we (POCs) HC a character as mixed and add something race/culture on to them (exp. Latine) they are not stripping away their Asian culture, all that's being done is adding on culture. Asian erasure would be saying "They are not Asian anymore, they are [insert race]" (just an example), saying they are no longer Asian would being erasing their Asian and culture, it also wouldn't make the character make sense because of the culture that came natural with them because of the race they were born. In conclusion, saying a character is mixed with an other race isn't Asian erasure because they aren't getting rid of their Asian culture, however saying they aren't Asian anymore would be Asian erasure.
